BBC on the Rent Relief Campaign
17 Jun 2020Rent Happily founder Boris Drappier was recently interviewed by the BBC to talk about what we are doing with regards to the rent crisis in the aftermath of the pandemic. This was broadcast on 12th June 2020 for the main 6.30 pm news on BBC Points West.
The focus of the programme was the hardship faced by tenants and what can be done about it. It starts with an interview with a tenant who fell through the net and lost his home, followed by a representative of the tenants’ union Acorn about their rent abolition campaign. Then a landlord intervenes to explain how he’s stepped in to help his tenants, and Boris Drappier speaks in the name of the letting sector.
We are grateful for the opportunity to spread the word about how landlords are getting out of their way to help their tenants, and how to get more done in these difficult times. More info about what we are doing can be found in our News section on our website.
